Fulton County Water Garden, Lighting, and Streetscape Revival
In conjunction with and support of downtown Atlanta’s growing transformation, Keep Atlanta Beautiful, Inc. (KAtlB) and Fulton County have teamed to strengthen and invigorate the 1989 M. Paul Friedberg Design Water Garden and Plaza connected to the Fulton County Government center. The vision encompasses restoration and modernization of the iconic and culturally significant Water Garden / Plaza in the first phase; and enhancing the overall character, walkability, and safety through enhanced streetscape in a second phase.
KAtlB aims to reimagine the water feature at the Fulton County Office Building as a model example of the level of sustainability an environmental feature can achieve once designed, managed, and maintained energy resource consumption: 70% reduction in lighting energy cost; 50% reduction in overall water volume.
